I have published this in the 2008 Medical Hypotheses 71 p 323-324, entitled “Does capsaicin in chili cause diabetes?”. You may also see some discussion of this in http://charles_w.tripod.com/diabetes.html . So it would be a good idea not to recommend chili in diets until such time as the matter is established on animal experiments, or to use capsaicin as a medicine. It is not impossible that capsaicin causes other problems as well.<br /> Dr. Beale speaks of having a worm that one can do experiments involving diabetes on. Maybe one of your students could use such a technique. His URL is http://www.ttuhsc.edu/som/cbb/faculty/beale.aspx .<br /> You may see how to increase copper in the diet in http://charles_w.tripod.com/copper3.html (chili probably operates synergistically with a copper deficiency).<br /> You also may find a book about potassium nutrition as it relates to heart disease, gout, rheumatoid arthritis, high blood pressure, and diabetes, useful for your library. Its availability through Paypal along with its introduction and table of contents may be accessed in http://charles_w.tripod.com/book.html .<br /> Sincerely, Charles Weber<br />PS Dr. Rastmanesh, a nutritionist from Iran, would like to secure a position in an English speaking university because of religious or political problems. He has an impressive CV. If you know of an opening I will send you his CV. It would be a travesty to leave that fine scientist in that criminal country after he got rid of rheumatoid arthritis for us.<br /><br />Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05069711348500228292noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5472921328078253036.post-55689638197799830192014-07-11T13:18:08.112-07:002014-07-11T13:18:08.112-07:00I really like the way you think through things Jos...I really like the way you think through things Joshua! I'm not saying it is a cure by posting about it here. Because people have different opinions, I do cover it, and if you don't think it's a cure, please ignore the AP postings. Thank you. --JoshuaJoshua Levyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05300553471793001620noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5472921328078253036.post-11645461991922127112014-07-07T11:29:34.316-07:002014-07-07T11:29:34.316-07:00Will anyone travel out of the country or on a long...Will anyone travel out of the country or on a long term with trip with out insulin supplies with the AP. Since I know everyone will answer no. This is in no way a practical cure. I am sorry but if you need a stand by it is not a cure. The AP will break all technology fails. One thing that needs to be added to a practical cure requirement is one does not still have to keep insulin supplies on hand or worry or can travel worry free.U can succeed !https://www.blogger.com/profile/16247800277972966894noreply@blogger.com
